Lee Blackhorse has been divorced for seven years. Seven long, sexless years. Her jerk of an ex-husband just will not leave her alone though. He is constantly coming back for one thing, and it’s not sex. Thinking she was the lucky one to have been chosen by the gorgeous Native American actor, she had no idea what she was getting into.

Howard Blackhorse was a stunning man to say the least. To say the most he was a philandering, gambling, no-good, worthless drunk. Lee never could fathom why she continued to give him money when he came begging. This time, though, the words he flung at her were the heartbreak she didn’t need. Being told you're worthless and lousy in bed does nothing for the ego.

Mike Running Elk had been hot after Lee for years, ever since he started working for her part-time when he was eighteen. He knows she doesn’t look at him like that, but ever since her divorce, he has been trying to figure out how to turn her attention to him. He continues to help out with things around her ranch even though he doesn’t need the money. So when he shows up at her door with a cut, bleeding hand, things are going to get taken care of in more ways than one.

Will Lee let Mike show her she is worth so much more than her ex ever let on? Or will she take the short, steamy affair and chalk it up to a pity party on the part of Mike? Find out what happens when Howard shows up and tries to force his way back into Lee’s life, giving Mike the opportunity he has been waiting for.

Fran Lee's Nothing But Sex is part of the Cougar Challenge Series. They are all standalone novels but they have three things in common: older women, younger men, and lots of hot sex. I just about went up in flames while reading about the heat between Lee and Mike.

The plot development was excellent because even though this is a short novella, the reader understands where Lee is coming from and what she is thinking. Ms. Lee has packed action, suspense, sex, and the ever-beloved Alpha male into Nothing But Sex, and it works so well. My only complaint was hearing Lee think of Mike as a “kid”, when he clearly is so much more than that. Lee changes her mind about that though. Nothing But Sex had me wondering where I have to move to find a Mike Running Elk. Fran Lee has herself another winner with this novel, and I am, as usual, begging for the next one.

Erotic Cougar

Blurb: Lee Blackhorse is hardly Cougar material, no matter what her friends over at Tempt the Cougar say. A forty-two-year-old woman who lusts after her thirty-year-old weekend helper is just plain nuts. Or is she? Mike Running Elk is the sexiest thing ever to don tight jeans and a second-skin t-shirt. She's secretly yearned for the man for years.

Mike has no problem seeing himself in the role of Lee's lover. In fact, if he can just get the hot-as-hell woman to realize he's plenty old enough to ring her bells, he plans to do more than just clean her barn and mow her grass. He's waited for her long enough.

When Mike shows up at her door with an injured hand, he notices Lee can't pull her eyes off his naked, ripped chest. Mike can't believe she's as oblivious as she acts. The ice has been broken and he intends to heat things up even more!

Reader Advisory: Our poor heroine endures some mild violence, but don't worry, the hero's got her back.

Review: In true Ms Lee style this story had everything. Plot, a hot man, a nasty ex, and sex. Hot, sweaty, dirty sex! YEAH BABY!! I have read several books by Ms Lee and have to say that this one...was very well written. I could really 'feel' Lee's frustration with wanting a younger man. The variation in the love scenes was not mechanical in any way. And BOY HOWDY if you like variety...well lets just say I'll never look a waffle the same for the rest of my life.

The story was good. One I would recommend to those who enjoy a good hot Cougar story :)

A standalone story in the Cougar Challenge Series.

At forty-two, Lee Blackhorse has no business lusting after her thirty year-old weekend helper no matter how sexy he is. Cougar material she isn't, no matter what her friends over at Tempt the Cougar say or the examples of love and happiness they have found with a younger man. There is no way she could ever tempt the delightfully hot Mike Running Elk into her bed like the others have.

Mike has no problem seeing himself in Lee's bed and as her permanent lover. Now if he could only get her to see he is plenty old enough to pleasure her hot body. He plans on doing more than weekend work for her.

When the ice gets broken and Mike realizes that Lee isn't as oblivious as she acts, he intends to rock her world. He has waited long enough to make her his and he doesn't plan on letting anything or anybody get in his way.

Gifted author Fran Lee has created a wonderful story that is brimming over with absolutely memorable characters, a depth of emotion, intense deep-seated passion and a plot that twists and turns leaving the reader with a deeply satisfying feeling of pleasure.

Nothing But Sex is action packed, bold, daring, compelling, fresh and engaging; a vibrantly entertaining romance that will have readers deeply sighing with its magical touches.

Mike and Lee are well-rounded characters who display deeply rich layers to their personalities that are tender, honorable, caring and passionate, and with the nicely paced storyline the readers can become acquainted with them for added enjoyment. Using Lee's abusive and volatile ex-husband in the story adds a realistic sense to the action as well as helping the reader understand the hardships that she has had to endure over the years.

Mike is a deliciously yummy, sweep-a-lady-off-of-her-feet, and slays-any-dragon type of hero. He is the type of man who loves only one woman unconditionally and forever with a passion that knows no bounds. Lee is an amazingly deep character who will tug at the reader's heartstrings with her ability to endure the hardships that she has had in her life, yet still remaining fearless and bold. When these two lovers connect the pleasure that exists between them is powerful and explosive. The ending is pure romance!

An absolutely magical romance that shouldn't be missed!

Lee feels used up. The beautiful man she married, and divorced, keeps coming back for money and like a fool she gives it to him. How pathetic is she? When she decides to take the Cougar challenge she sets her sights on Mike Running Elk, her handyman of 12 years. She's always been aware of him, but does she really have the guts to grab her femininity and wield it against a 30-year-old hunk?

Mike has worked for Lee since he was 18. He saw the destruction of her marriage to the wrong man and how she has slowly drawn into herself. Unable to resist any longer, he decides to go after her with all he has and claim his woman. Now.

Guilty Pleasure Alert! Loved this latest addition to the Cougar Challenge series. Mike was determined and that was so hot. While Lee exhibited some signs of abuse syndrome, she wasn't completely beaten down. When she gathers her courage to go after Mike, and his pursuit of her makes that a no-brainer, she finally finds the strong woman within.

Not just scratching an itch, Mike makes no secret of his claiming of Lee and let's anyone who looks askance know it. When Lee is the victim of abuse, he stands by her and declares himself to protect her further.

Instead of reassuring her, this hurts Lee as she thinks he is just being noble. Anything but noble in his offer, Mike reverts to the old ways to convince Lee they belong together, forever.

Short but steamy, uncomfortable at times but also heartwarming, this is a book you don't want to miss.

Guest Review: Nothing But Sex by Fran Lee

Judith's review of Nothing But Sex by Fran Lee

The title of this novella is really inaccurate to the nature of this romantic tale. "Nothing But Sex" is what Lee Blackhorse wants to label her budding relationship with Mike Running Elk. But he has worked for Lee ever since he was in his ((early 20's))and has been her friend and weekend worker since her drunken, gambling, almost actor ex-husband ran off with a ((20-something)) babe seven years earlier.

The only "dates" Lee has been offered were by married men on the reservation, and she is tired of all that nonsense. Their wives are her friends. She knows what she felt like in the ((20)) years her husband did the same thing to her. Yet she is hungry for warmth, caring, attention, being made to feel desirable again, even th"

Lee doesn't know that Mike has been secretly in love with her for years, has been waiting for her to somehow begin to see him as a man in his own right, and has been building a successful business as a dealer and trainer of top-notch horses of all breeds. He has continued to work for Lee every weekend simply to be around her, and when he cuts his hand badly on a barbed wire fence, he sees his chance to convince her that he can be an important person in her life.

I think this is one of the older woman/younger man stories I have been reading lately that I have come to enjoy, and like just about as well as any. I can ((resonate)) with Lee...a woman who has been made to feel like she is a dried up old roofing shingle rather than the woman of character, experience, both inner and outer beauty, and a heart as big as they come. I have met so many women who have been chewed up and spit out by men who treat them like dirt, and I mourn for all the pain and inner self-doubt that their lives have engendered in them.

Oh, for more men like Mike Running Elk...who is gentle, caring, an authentic person who sees Lee, not for just what she is (which he thinks is hot no matter what she says), but also for what he knows she can become when given the kind of care and attention he wants to lavish upon her.

Their relationship certainly starts out as a sexual one, but Fran Lee has written a wonderful story about a 'coming out' of one's shell that is beautiful and truly classic in its qualities.

Fran Lee is new to me as an author, but she has handled the Native American/white encounters well, has dealt well with the matters of abuse that are often the aftermath of a marriage that ends over drink and a lack of true respect. I think you, too, will like this story.

I give a rating of 4.5 out of 5.

Review: Talk about scorching hot! I'd love to have a cool dark drink of water with rippling abs and intense eyes show up on my doorstep.

There's nothing like a man determined to get the girl ditching society’s standards, and a woman deciding she's worth more than the crap from the past.

The fire that sparked between Mike and Lee kept my attention. Having a hero willing to step up to the plate and treat a woman right is way thumbs up in my opinion... and “age ain’t nothin’ but a number.”

This cougar story was one thirst quenching read.
