After seven years of being Mike Furie's personal assistant, Jillian Turner has had enough. The job might come with all the perks of being part of the rich, famous and powerful people. But what good did that do for her without a life and someone to share it with? Mike Furie might be sexy, arrogant, and egotistical and a certified bachelor. Staying and working for him wouldn't get her anywhere. Now having to drop everything and fly to Aspen to rescue her boss from the clutches of just one of the many seeking to trap him is the last straw. Fortified with a whole lot of champagne and a shopping trip with Mike's money, Jillian tells him exactly where he can stick his job. She's quitting (for the umpteenth time) and he can find someone else to be at his beck and call twenty-four hours a day. All right, waking to find her in bed, naked and married to one Mike Furie and with a splitting headache on her birthday is just too much. Why can't she remember signing that damn marriage certificate?

Mike Furie has Jillian exactly where he wants her, right now under him for a little-burn-up-the-sheets loving and later a little more loving. After all, they were officially on their honeymoon. Oh yeah, Jillian was his and she wouldn't be leaving his side anytime soon.

Ms. Lee has created a remarkable mad cap erotic romance that is impossible for the reader to put down! The amazing and innovative mind of Ms. Lee gives fans a breathtaking and delectable new story to enjoy again and again. The wickedly sensual and humorous plot is pure pulse pounding action, the dialogue is snappy, the characters are strongly defined, and the sex is ebulliently naughty keeping the reader captivated. Each page is perfectly paced, the anticipation builds and the audacious escapades abound. The strongly defined characters are well-rounded, full of heat and energy and very easy to visual. The sexual tension followed by the emotional struggle between the characters will touch readers on many levels. It seems like every single scene dealing with the character conflict and every reaction is perfect. The relationship between Mike and Jillian seems warm and real although the reader is left guessing to what extent until the climactic ending. The sex is blistering hot and should come with a warning label. The addition of Jillian's family, as well as other employees of Mike's are wonderful touches that work to not enhance the story but the characters too, for some laugh out loud moments.

Ms. Lee has a wonderful sense of humor and it's displayed with this arousing and well crafted story.

Jillian has the perfect job. Great benefits and pay, access to her bosses homes and private jet, and a gorgeous boss to boot. Too bad he doesn’t know she’s a woman, and treats her like she’s not entitled to a life. After he interrupts her plans for her birthday with her family, she’s had it. She’s quitting, and this time she means it.

Determined to go out with style, she answers his call for rescue by spending $350,000 of his money to outfit herself for a party he demands her presence at. She accomplishes more than she expected though. When she wakes up the next morning, she’s in bed with her boss, and appears to have married him. And how did that happen?

This reminded me a little of that movie with Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant. Personally, Mike Furie was obnoxious and I don’t care how cute he was, I would have shot him years ago. Jillian was a little wishy-washy for my tastes, but when it mattered she came out swinging. Regardless, I inhaled this story because it appealed on many levels. With similarities to a few fairy tales of princesses and such, I loved it. The sex was plentiful and enviable, and my heart went pitter-patter at the end. A little predictable, but a great escape.

Jillian's Job

Blurb: What good is a dream income, access to a private jet, all the perks that go with being Mike Furie’s überproficient personal assistant, if Jillian has no life? She wants a life with a man in it. And staying with overbearing, totally sexy, self-serving bachelor Mike will lead nowhere.

A trip to Aspen to “rescue” Mike from the clutches of the latest woman seeking to sink her claws into him, an excess of champagne to fortify her, and she tells him what she thinks of his high-handed tactics. She’s quitting. Again.

So how the hell did she end up in bed with him in a Tahoe honeymoon suite, naked? Why can’t she recall how her signature got on that marriage license?

Mike discovers talents he never knew Jill possessed. Now he has her right where he wants her. And he wants her again…and again. In his bed and under him. But it’s not all about the lust, and if he gets his way, Jillian won’t be leaving his side or his bed—ever.

Review: Holy Hopping Horned Toads, Hubert! I love a good office romance, and when you add in a few good belly laughs it makes it even better. I have read several of Ms Lee's works, and have to say that she is high ranking on my list of MUST READ authors :)

Hot and sexy, with a touch of sassy (okay okay, Jill has more than just a touch of sassy :) This fast paced read is one that should be on every TBR list. With characters that will make you laugh, smile and clench your knees together, I promise a smile or twenty :)

*SNAPS* Ms Lee on yet again, another job well done :)

Kathy’s Review:

Even as I read the summary for Fran Lee’s story Jillian’s Job I found myself laughing. Now, after having read the story, I’m laughing even more... and oh my heaven…what fun it is. Fran Lee is a new-to-me author whose humor really charmed me, and I’m definitely looking forward to exploring whether this is an example of how she usually writes or a one-off. Regardless, I’m anticipating future experiences.

But even with the humour, Jilian’s Job is first and foremost a romance, regardless of the different approach taken by the author. And while, for the most part, the story is a lot of fun and quite lighthearted, it did have its more serious moments... and I liked that.

If one theme could be chosen for Jillian’s Job it’d have to be “You don’t know what you have until you lose it.” This mostly applies to Michael Furie because the man is rather clueless, but sexy as all get out, so I could forgive him. When he finally realized, upon Jillian’s declaration of independence from her demanding and clueless boss, he took decisive action... and advantage, which, in my opinion, led to some of the funniest scenes in the book. Suffice it to say, Mike, when he got a clue, went ahead full bore... probably why he’s such a successful businessman! And I totally loved getting an inside look at his thought processes. Not one to beat around the bush, the man made a plan then made it so.

Jillian, well it took Mike’s actions for her to admit to her feelings. She really didn’t want to leave him, but all the overtime, on-call and on-demand work was getting to be too much. And her brothers were all really ‘supportive’ of her telling her boss off. I’d actually LOVE to read more about Jillian’s six older brothers...yeah, so much lovely testosterone-laden manly flesh and stories just waiting to be told. Ahem.

Yes, anyway.... at one point, though, the story took a more serious turn emotionally. Up until that point, while enjoying the story, I couldn’t really see how Fran Lee could make the relationship work out permanently...it still felt somewhat...tenuous? But I won’t make that mistake again. Ms. Lee has a trick or two up her sleeve and I can hardly wait to see what she’ll do in the next book I read.

Ultimately, Jillian’s Job is fun, lots of laughs yet with an undertone of seriousness. It’s a story about two people afraid to rock the boat until Michael comes close to losing Jillian. I loved watching as he made the executive decision to act once and for all. What a wonderful introduction to the writing of Fran Lee... now I can hardly wait to get to the next one!

Review:

Jill is worth every penny of her exorbitant salary. She is also tired of letting her boss push her around and ruin her personal life. When he calls, demanding Jill save him from a clingy woman in Aspen, disrupting her birthday weekend with her family, she realizes that she’s worth a lot more than her boss will ever know.

Mike Furie knows a good thing when he sees it. And he saw the good in Jill when he hired her seven years ago. After each of her attempts to leave him, he has found a way to make her stay. This time, when she gets wasted on his expensive champagne, she tells him exactly how she feels about him, then proceeds to live out his wildest fantasies of the perfect sexy woman.

Fran Lee’s story is well written, very fast paced and exceedingly erotic. There is just something about a domineering man who has complete confidence in himself and his charm and ability that makes a woman melt (this reader included), and when brains and beauty collide, it makes for a fantastically sexy story. Jillian’s Job is an excellent read.

Hunter's Review

Azrael Thunder Horse has to be one of the hottest heroes I’ve ever encountered and that was just a small part of what I loved about this book. Cheyenne is a wonderful, heartfelt heroine who really makes you like her. The love scenes these two share are some of the best ever written.

But what really got me about this book—what really made me stand up and take note—was that this book is about acceptance. It’s about accepting other people’s cultures, about finding yourself, understanding your parents, and learning to love again. In fact, Az does something so tremendously wonderful at the end of the book I’m not sure I’ll ever forget it. Ms. Lee wrote a brilliant erotic romance. You will love it.
