Tonio’s father has died, leaving him the family fortune...with one condition; marry someone by the year's end or the fortune will be handed over to Luis, his self-righteous cousin. With time running out, he needs to find someone to marry him, no stings attached, pre-nuptial agreement in hand, with a quick wedding. Piece of cake right? Oh, if only life were that simple! Antonio and Chris seem to have completely different lifestyle choices that neither is sure they can live with. Oh, and did I mention Tonio’s been framed from murder?

Christine has found herself in a serious financial predicament. She has been laid off from her job, spent her life savings and is two months behind on rent. She’s about to be homeless. When she is presented with a business proposition she can’t refuse (or at least shouldn’t refuse in her current situation).

Tonio meets a woman that is about to be evicted from her apartment. He thinks he has the answer to her money woes, and in turn can solve his own inheritance quandary. Kill two birds with one stone, so to speak. All the pieces of the puzzle seem to be falling into place as if fate had a hand in all of it. Too easy...right?

Fran Lee's book, Dictated by Fate had me a stressed out wreck! I was turning each page waiting for Tonio and Chris to realize what was right under OUR noses. To say love is blind here is an understatement. As if the hawt sexual tension between these two wasn’t enough to make this book a page-turner, trying to find out who framed Tonio for murder had me on the edge of my seat.

This hawt, steamy, laugh out loud love story had me wanton of such a dilemma for myself.

Chris is in deep money trouble. For the past couple of months she has been living each day as if it were the last. She loves her apartment and has restored it with her own money. And now, because of bad luck, she might just lose it forever.

Chris knows that she can’t pay the high rent anymore, but wishes for some good luck to come. She never expected though for the good luck to come in the form of a fine, handsome man like Antonio Rodriguez.

Tonio is everything she has been dreaming of, with hands that she wants on her forever, and kisses that make her tremble with need.(In her dreams, that is.)

The problem is she is a virgin and thinks that if Tonio knew he wouldn’t want her. Then again, he seems to prefer the opposite sex-- which makes her wonder why she is attracted to him.

Chris has been burned before by love and marriage. She is determined to not make the same mistakes again. Can she find out why a gorgeous man like Tonio needs her in marriage but not in his bed?

Tonio has been burned by love before. It was by a vindictive woman who only wanted him for his money. He knows he’s wealthy, but wants someone who will marry him without love. Meeting Chris, he is enchanted, not only with lust but something else in his heart. Chris is like a breath of fresh air and surprisingly, her not caring about money bewilders him. All his life he has never known a woman like her and for the first time wants more than just a marriage of convenience.

Tonio knows that he cannot stay married for two years to a beautiful woman like Chris without showing her real passion and love. The thing is-- she is a lesbian. Or is she? Can Tonio change her ways or will he get the biggest surprise of his life?

Ah! Fran Lee sure created a most amusing and romantic story all in one book. I loved the scenario in this story between Tonio and Chris. This is definitely a twist to the newfound love stories. These two were great, and I enjoyed seeing Tonio get surprised at each turn by Chris’s outlook on money and luxury.

The scenes between them were hysterical when they discussed their sexual orientation with one another.

This was a great book by Fran and I look forward for more by this talented author.

Chris has been through hell, is about to be homeless, and her situation is showing no signs of improvement. She knows there is no such thing as a knight in shining armor?she learned that the hard way. Now she's on the brink of total disaster with no champion to save her.

Tonio is being shoved toward an unwelcome, unwanted marriage, and is quickly running out of options. It boils down to a choice between getting hogtied to a woman he can't stand, or quickly finding an attractive substitute who can be the band-aid he needs, without becoming a full-body cast.

When Chris and Tonio meet, fate intervenes with a vengeance. They each make assumptions about the other?s lifestyle choices, and assume that a no strings attached relationship between them is the perfect solution. But you know what they say happens when you assume?

ELEMENTS: Strong sexual content, graphic language, frequent occurrences of intimacy, including detailed oral play and masturbation.

A Fan's special Review...

Dear Fran:

I just finished reading "Dictated by Fate". Wow! I loved it! Great characters who were deeply attracted to each other despite their initial misunderstanding of each other's sexuality.

Very enjoyable banter and smokin' sexual heat between Antonio and Christine! You added a mystery to solve and dangerous elements to overcome before these two red-hot lovers finally knew theirs was a love to last a lifetime. It was "dictated by fate".

Thanks again,

Virginia
